Our current focus
We currently support initiatives in seven different areas of interest.
Programs for youth and children
| These are generally local efforts where our interests in providing
opportunities to women, youth and families from disadvantaged
circumstances are fostered. |
West End House Boys & Girls Club of Allston-Brighton |
Progressive
"infrastructure"
These initiatives support the basic building blocks
of a progressive agenda in the area of ideas development, media,
leadership development, and civic engagement.
The arts
ICA Boston |
We have an interest in supporting arts institutions
that promote contemporary works, new ways of conceiving and presenting
current experience, and that have a strong focus on outreach
to - and engagement of - local communities. |
Women's advancement and leadership
We support
organizations and individual projects that advance women's equality
and leadership. We
are interested in revitalizing a feminist movement and consciousness
in younger generations.
Policy based research
We have a strong commitment
to responsible public policy development with a rigorous research
focus. Areas
of particular interest include education, work force development,
and tax and trade policy.
Leadership development
| We are interested in supporting
programs that train and equip young leaders for the future
and in supporting individual leaders of promise with financial
support to pursue a particular area of interest. |
Training new leaders
|
International

On a limited basis we support community development
programs, especially those aimed at women, in two countries of interest:
